Pebble Brain is the second EP (extended play) by Lovejoy. It was released on October 14, 2021, and the band have said they want to go on tour following its release[2]. Wilbur has said that the EP is a "breakup album" but instead of about a person, being about his "breakup" with the country of England[3].

Pebble Brain debuted at #12 on the UK Official Albums Chart, the band's first entry into the UK Top 40s chart. It also debuted at #14 on the Irish Albums Chart and #11 on the NZ Top 40. Songs "The Fall", "Oh Yeah, You Gonna Cry?" and "Perfume" debuted at #64, #67 and #69 respectively on the UK Official Singles Chart[4], and all tracks from the album debuted above position 40 in the UK Independent Singles Chart.[5]

'PeeBee' the seagull met an unfortunate end when she was sucked into the jet engine of a WU&IO Airlines flight causing the plane to crash. Several passangers[sic] survived the incident and were later found by search & rescue, but information about their survival remains a mystery.

- The band rented a cabin in Knighton, Isle of Wight for 18 days, and another cabin in Newenden, Kent for a week, in May 2021 in order to write songs for the EP.
- Wilbur's friend Tommy joined the band for its sessions (starting on July 29, 2021).[14]
- The EP's working title was 'Good Riddance Grey Albion'[16].
- On June 22, 2021, they announced that the EP was 30% done.[17]
- One of Wilbur's old songs, "It's All Futile! It's All Pointless!"[1]:4:58, was repurposed into a song on the EP.
- The band completed recording on August 24, 2021.[21]
- On September 14, 2021, the band confirmed in an instagram post that there would be 7 songs on the EP.[22]
- On October 12, 2021, the band announced the EP title and release date on Twitter.[23]
- The seagull on the album cover art is called Peebee.[24]
- Although the album was independently released, the label appears as "Anvil Cat Records", a nod to the cover art on their previous EP.
- The EP was scheduled for release at 4pm EST on October 14, 2021, but there was an issue with the distributor and it got released onto Apple Music early, prompting the band to upload the EP onto YouTube almost a day earlier than planned.
- The EP reached #1 on the US iTunes Charts within a day of its release[9] and the YouTube upload reached 1 million views within 14 hours of being posted[25].
